Housing

Adequate Shelter Is a Luxury In Developing Countries

In many emerging countries, basic housing and infrastructure are lacking, insufficient, or non-existent. In Haiti, Africa and the Philippines, we have seen people sleeping in doorways, on the pavement, under cardboard or other temporary shelters. In most of these emerging countries inadequate housing leads to challenges such as: severe limitation for economic development, land conflicts, vulnerability to natural disasters, poor sanitation due to poor solid waste management thus leading to illness.

Bridges seeks to improve the housing conditions in the areas we serve.
